Course Description

Ready to hit the trails while keeping them beautiful? Join us for the Leave No Trace Day Hike Workshop at W.W. Knight Nature Preserve!

This hands-on session introduces you to the seven Leave No Trace principles and shows you how to apply them directly to your day hikes. Through engaging discussions and case studies, you'll discover how your choices affect the environment, your fellow hikers, and the local community. We’ll take a 1-2 mile hike to practice these skills in real-time, learning how to minimize our footprint and promote responsible recreation. Beyond the trail, we’ll explore how these sustainable habits can be part of your everyday life. 

All ages are welcome!  All participants will receive an official Leave No Trace certificate of completion. Please Note: This is an introductory workshop and not a Level 1 Leave No Trace Certification course.
