Course Description

Are you frustrated that your photographs don’t do justice to your physical art? Whether you are applying for grants, entering juried shows, or selling prints online, high-quality documentation is the bridge between your studio practice and your professional success.

This hands-on workshop is designed to take the mystery out of art photography. You will learn the technical essentials of lighting, color accuracy, and composition to ensure your digital files fully represent your creative vision. We will also discuss the "pro vs. DIY" threshold—helping you identify when you can achieve great results on your own and when it’s time to call in a professional.

For 2-D flat artwork only – painting, drawing, print-making, photography.  Each student may bring 2 pieces (size limit 20 x 24 or less) to photograph during the workshop.  Instructor: Ruth Foote
