Course Description

This course meets the new regulations for Administration of Nitrous Oxide for the Dental Hygienist in accordance with rule 4715-9-01.2 in the Ohio Administrative Code. Register for this section if you are a LICENSED DENTAL HYGIENIST and taking the course as ADMINISTERING. Participants will be required to submit license before you can attend the class. The course is the equivalent of a six-hour blended learning course which includes a two-hour online didactic course plus another two hours of didactic instruction (four-hour didactic total) and two hours of clinical experience.  An email with your login credentials to complete the mandatory 2 hours of online training will be emailed about 10 days before the scheduled in-person date.  You must complete the online training prior to attending the clinical portion of the class.

Course Requirements: Active Dental Hygiene license, BLS CPR Certified. 

Michigan Residents: Students who live in Michigan will have to take an additional exam Commission on Dental Competency Assessment (CDCA) for Nitrous Oxide Exam.
